Parent-Child Headswap-VisualAssignment 339

INSPIRATION; Hey all, this is my 3rd Visual assignment and I am having fun with each process it takes to create some of these funny yet creative images. I have 8 stars now so two more and I am officially done with visual assignments. Well not quite, I still have to submit an assignment right?. This piece is called the head swap and what better picture to use than that of my mum and her babies. To the left is my gorgeous mother, to the right is yours truly and on my lap is my mum’s goddaughter whom we both love to death. If you noticed, I swapped my mums head with mine, the reason being that not only do we look alike, but as I grow up, I find myself acting a lot like her and speaking just like her. Before I cut my hair short, we had a couple of visitors who came to our house and thought I was my mum. They’ve also been times when I pick up the phone and her friends start talking to me, thinking am her. I play along for a few minutes and then I am finally busted! Anyways, I love my mum a lot. She’s instilled a lot of confidence in me and made me an emotionally strong person. I swapped Giselle’s head with my mum’s because I see her as my mum’s other daughter. She literally gets away with murder when she comes over. My mum, dad, brother and I have been in her life since day one and love the experience of watching her grow. She loves to be sang to when feeding her and when she is restless and in her chaotic mood, my dad grabs her, puts her on his lap and plays the song “Tragedy” by Christina Perri. Ironically, this song has such a calming effect on her that my dad calls her his tragedy. She sits still until the song is done and then back to being chaotic after which my mum gets on my case to put things in order. SMH! I love them both. I put the two pictures side by side just so you can compare them and really see the difference. Tutorials on how to do this will be posted in a different post with the appropriate tag to it.

About maameboaduwa

I am an open and very expressive person. People often say that I am very likeable and comfortable to be around. And I am, lol. I am very well rounded very prideful but well rounded. I am likely not the sort of person you want to assume anything about. My personality is a very strong, aggressive, inquisitive and precocious one. Yet very feminine and genuinely a nice, deeply caring, generous, and loving person, I balance it all well. This may shock the masses but: I am shy. LOL! I'm also a sarcastic smartass. lol...that won't shock any masses...LOL.Life has taught me a lot so far and so character is very important to me...those around me and my own. I like people who are different and I like to surround myself with the most flavorful individuals that I can. I will respect someone who disagrees with me more so than I would someone who agrees with every single thing that I say but I respect more the individual who knows how to listen to someone disagree with them and can handle it. Life has also taught me to choose my battles wisely.I am a learner 100% of the time. I am able to see the other side of the coin on damn near everything. My cynicism is one of a person who has learned the "power of accurate observation." I still remain very, very much a dreamer despite that. Though my humor is dry and real special and questionable (LOL) and immature and bold and nothing short of fucked up, it's forgivable, LMAO, as long as you’re open-minded

Awesome, a three way swap! And its wonderful to learn more about your family in the description. You are rocking the visuals!

Note that you don’t have to submit an assignment for all categories, just 4 this semester.

sounds great. Like you said, I am bringing my A game. Plus its fun to play around images, using all these tools that are basically free of charge. Am enjoying the process.

  2. I can tell that the baby’s face was the hardest swap to do, but the other two look fantastic! I couldn’t even tell there was a swap because they were put together so nicely. Awesome job!
